Vice Minister of Agriculture to Langkat - North Sumatra: "IP 400 ...?? Well ... it was good"

The participation of the BPTP North Sumatra in that exhibition is one method to bring innovative agricultural technologies to stakeholders such as farmers and agricultural extension. In that exhibition, BPTP North Sumatra show some innovation of agricultural technology that has been produced by the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development such as new varieties of rice (Inpari, Inpara, Indragiri, and Mekongga), new varieties of soybean (Anjasmoro), new varieties of groundnut (Kelinci and Jerapah), PUTS and PuPS, all of this was introduced to support the program SL-PTT in 2010. BPTP North Sumatra also introduced technology components to support programs IP 400 such as varieties Inpari 1, Silugonggo, Dodokan and the rice harvest equipment type mower.
The farmers' responses to the presence of BPTP North Sumatra stand in that exhibition were positive. It can be seen from the height of the farmers and agricultural extension officers who visit. In stand BPTP North Sumatra, both paddy varieties and harvest equipment type mower is preferred by farmers. Many farmers asked where they can obtain these rice varieties. While the rice harvest equipment type mower very interesting because the farmers using the tool they need not be bent again to harvest rice. Seeing the high interest of farmers, paddy seed producer should be grown in the Langkat district. BPTP North Sumatra are ready to facilitate by providing rice seed source. (esu, ak, rn).
